Josh brings a steady, calm presence to O4 Architecture, along with a quiet sense of humour and an ability to adapt fluidly as projects evolve. At his best, he works with care and precision, attentive to both the craft of construction and the tone of a room. He approaches complexity by widening the lens—absorbing context, constraints, and nuance—then synthesizing a response that is considered and cohesive.

His perspective is rooted in perception, aesthetics, and an understanding of nature as something participatory rather than inert. Influenced by music, woodworking, and art, he listens closely—to materials, collaborators, and the latent character of a place. He is interested in architecture that feels animated and alive, where form carries presence through body language and materiality: welcoming, uplifting, and easeful.

Outside the studio, he spends his time playing music and being outdoors, often drawing connections between both.
