This project explored an early mixed-use residential concept for a site located near Kimberley’s downtown core. Developed during an initial design proposal, the project examined opportunities for increased housing density while responding to the scale, material character, and pedestrian experience of the surrounding neighborhood.

The concept organized the building around a central courtyard to introduce daylight, natural ventilation, and shared community space into the development. A brick exterior palette was proposed to connect the project to the material character of downtown Kimberley and reinforce a sense of permanence and civic presence.

The work shown here represents an earlier design exploration completed by O4 Architecture. The project is currently moving forward under a separate team and revised design direction.
