The British Columbia Utilities Commission (BCUC) set out to transform their workspace into a flexible, welcoming environment that supports evolving operational needs and enables clear, seamless collaboration between the BCUC, the public, and the media.

The design prioritizes intuitive arrival, clarity of circulation, and a strong sense of identity throughout the suite. At its core is the Hearing Room, conceived as the project’s central civic space. Its form and layout support multiple room configurations, while maintaining strong sightlines, accessibility, and integrated technology to accommodate hearings, presentations, and public-facing events.

Together, the suite creates a modern, highly functional setting that reinforces transparency, professionalism, and public engagement.
